About Us

Who
We Are...

With over 15 years experience working in both 'Therapeutic Theatre' and ‘Community Arts’ our team specialise in delivering both regular/recurring and also bespoke programmes.

We use the arts and creativity (in person and remote) to help individuals, groups and their wider communities achieve more positive outcomes. Our partners reflect our focus in education, justice and recovery.

We unite groups, breaking down barriers and helping both young people and adults develop lasting and transferable skills. Our groups are encouraged to inspire and make change in their own lives and the lives of others.

Our ‘Anonymous Drama’ model is like drama therapy for people who usually have no interest in drama or therapy. This can be used with any group but our focus to date has been working with people in recovery from a range of addictions and also people in or at risk of entering the justice system (both in residential and community settings).

The work we deliver in education is usually built around pre-identified themes but can be bespoke so if there are any new ideas you would like to discuss please let us know.

Our delivery team is made up of a network of creative practitioners across the UK who bring a range of specialisms to each of our groups and projects.

Our name comes from ‘Forum Theatre’ created by Augusto Boal the format is perfect for exploration, discussion, and ultimately discovery. One of the techniques used relates to spectators influencing and engaging with the performances as both spectators and actors, termed ’spect-actors’ with the power to stop, change and influence output. The themes we explore often relate to social justice and aim to affect change within the individual involved as well as impacting our wider communities. In summary it’s perfect for the development work we do with our groups.
